Thanks again for all your prayers at home over my dad and my family. The newest news is that he is going to begin immunotherapy to try to shrink the tumor. Our prayers right now are that his body agrees with the therapy so we can continue with it, and that the therapy is successful in shrinking the tumor. My dad is aware of all the prayers coming from you and your children, and he is humbled by everyone's love and support of him, as am I. Thank you from all of us!
Here's a few notes for the upcoming week:
NO SCHOOL MONDAY - Reminder that Monday there is no school in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
BUDDY SLEDDING - On Tuesday we will be enjoying some sledding with our Kindergarten buddies. If it works out for you, please send a simple, plastic sled to school with your child on Tuesday. Please label it with your child's name. Thank you!
NO WORD WORK - Due to the shortened week coming up, we will not be having a spelling test at the end of the week. I may send home the new list at some point during the week, but the next test on that list will be January 30.
FROM THE ROSE PARK OFFICE:
Upcoming Dates:
January 19: No School
January 23: Report Cards will be sent virtually
February 13 & 16: No School
If you typically pick up your child(ren) via the Peace Lutheran’s parking lot please allow the buses to have the right of way, and give them plenty of space to operate as they have afternoon routes to accomplish safely. Please do not walk in between buses and stay on the Rose Park sidewalk to the very end (by the standing stone) before you “cross over” to the walkway as you walk together to the church. Thanks!
Running Club! It's time to think about Spring activities again! Rose Park will again have a Rose Park Running Club for 3rd - 5th graders this spring. The program will run from February 17 - May 2. Runners must be signed up to participate, click here!
