ABCs & 123s

We have been working hard here in 4th grade!  The students researched a region of the US this week and made a poster displaying their learning.  They've been working hard to elaborate the content of their personal expertise books that they are writing.  They've been converting measurements like nobody's business and solving real world problems with their conversions.  We've begun reading A Wish in the Dark by Christina Soontornvat and working at analyzing and interpreting the lessons and themes in that book and in our own independent reading books.  And we've been learning from King Solomon about how to live our lives in a way that honors God.  It has been a full week, but also a very blessed week!

Many of you continue to pray for my dad at your homes, and we are very grateful for that.  We do have a care page that can help you direct your prayers more specifically to the current situations if you wish to do so.  We know that God is present every step of the way, and we entrust the future to him.

CONFERENCES - This Spring the 4th graders will be doing student-led conferences.  This will be a special time for just you, your 4th grader, and me to reflect on their growth in person (no siblings please).  More details will fall into place later, but since the conference sign up email came out from Holland Christian (on Feb. 12), keep that in mind as you choose your time for your conference.  Thanks so much!

GUINEA PIG - Are you going to be home for the majority of Spring Break?  Our guinea pig, Stormi, is looking for a place to stay where she will be warm and fed.  She can go a day or two without fresh food, so if you have a night or two away planned, she will still be just fine.  But when you are home, she is sure to be a good source of entertainment for the kids in your home!  If you are able to take her for the week, please sign up here.  Thank you!
