Have you ever caught snowflakes and inspected them with a magnifying glass? It's a pretty spectacular sight - all the more reason to stand in awe of our Creator!
WORD WORK - Your child will be receiving a new word work list on Monday as usual, but due to the days off on Friday and Monday, this list will last for two weeks, with the test being on Friday, Feb. 20.
READING AND MATH MINUTES HOMEWORK - This will continue as normal, with the one exception being that since there isn't school on Monday the 16th, students will have to turn in their homework on Tuesday instead, and the new recording sheets will also come home that same Tuesday. Our math fact practice homework is now division facts. Please continue to monitor that at home to be sure that your child is working towards speed and accuracy, and that we see their mad minute scores going up over time.
FIELD TRIP - We have rescheduled our snowshoeing field trip to Hemlock Crossings for this coming Thursday afternoon. Please be sure that your child is dressed in layers and has ALL their winter gear along on that day. Thanks for your help!
VALENTINES EXCHANGE - Reminder that we will be exchanging Valentines on Wednesday, February 11! That might sneak up on you since it is only 3 school days away from today. A pink list of student names was sent home last week.
LUNCH HELPER - If you are willing and able to monitor the class during lunch on Tuesday, February. 10, please send me an email. I have a meeting at noon to attend. Thanks in advance!
GUINEA PIG SLEEPOVERS - Stormi is looking for a family to spend Winter Break with. If you are able to take Stormi home from Thursday until we return to school on Tuesday, please let me know. She will also need a place to stay during Spring Break. The sign up is available here.

Running Club! It's time to think about Spring activities again! Rose Park will again have a Rose Park Running Club for 3rd - 5th graders this spring. The program will run from February 17 - May 2. Runners must be signed up to participate, click here!
